In 2000, Willem Mees graduated with credits from the Delft University of Technology, developing a new vision on design for children’s outdoor play. In 2000 Willem Mees joined dok Medical Design as a designer. From 2001 till 2004 he joined Cuckoo Company in Delft as a designer/project manager. Here Willem Mees worked on the research, design, production and market implementation of the Dolphin Saver and the Tube Trainer. Two highly innovative products combining ideological goals with realistic product development.

In 2004 Willem Mees joined the Indes design team. In 2005 Willem Mees transferred to the Indes project management team, with a focus on child safety and Child & Baby products, like the iZi Sleep. Because of his experience in productdevelopment with high user demands, Willem Mees is an important member of the competence group "Comfort & Safety".
