In 1988, Henk Janssen established Indes as an independent industrial design agency. Before that, he set up and managed the design and engineering team of the Huka Company, where he developed rehab products. Born in 1960 in the Dutch province of Zeeland, Henk graduated from Delft University of Technology with a degree in Industrial Design Engineering. In 1985, he moved to Twente. An active networker, Henk started 'The Initiative for Medical Product Development' in 1995, and recently initiated the founding of the 'Industrial Design Centre'. In 2003 Henk received the Kroonenbergprijs for enterprice, given by the Twente University.
Early in his career, Henk was a highly active designer and project manager. Nowadays, he is more of an entrepeneur, focusing on creating opportunities for Indes and its customers, capitalising on the strong abilities of Indes. Finally, the motto 'level-headed, realistic, inspiring' not only applies to Indes, but very much to Henk himself.
