Power Support Propulsion Device

Together with the wheelchair manufacturer Handicare, Indes has developed the Power Support. Created for care providers, this wheelchair auxiliary drive is based on technology used in Sparta’s ION electric bicycle. The Power Support can be used in residential care and nursing home settings or at home. This ‘propulsion’ device substantially increases seniors’ self-sufficiency and ability to get around. Operating the Power Support is incredibly easy. The user selects the degree of support and, using a thumb-controlled lever, activates the device. Sales of the Power Support are exceeding expectations. Indes supplies the Power Support. In May 2004, the Power Support received the Fireva Design Award.
